It Ain't the Tryptophan

Tryptophan only makes you sleepy in rather high doses, and is negated by the presence of protein. You only get sleepy on Thanksgiving because you eat a LOT of food, and much of it is carbohydrates. Stop blaming the turkey, which has tryptophan levels comparable to all the other meats that we eat.
